GIBRALTAR's X-Y stage allows the microscope objective to be smoothly and precisely moved between fields-of-view without disturbing an established patch recording. GIBRALTAR's elevated platform allows numerous manipulators, chambers, and other instruments to be installed with optimum mechanical and thermal stability

Burleigh's GIBRALTAR Platform and X-Y Stage integrates our newest generation of piezoelectric micromanipulators with your fixed stage upright microscope. The result is easy patch clamp recording from slices, even on multiple sites. Perform new experiments or be more productive with your current experiments without the hassle of constructing your own apparatus.

GIBRALTAR's elevated platform allows numerous manipulators, chambers, and other instruments to be installed around the microscope objective with optimum mechanical and thermal stability - especially for "multiple patching". Four large-diameter columns support the platform without interfering with microscope operation. The height of the columns can be adjusted over a wide range to accommodate various microscopes, chambers, headstages, and approach angles. The precise and smooth motion of the X-Y microscope stage allows you to manually move the objective between fields-of-view without disturbing an established patch recording.
